Hello all and a warm welcome to another Waistcoat Wednesday.

Thanks to all for coming and playing with my pocket watch special last week, was lovely to see so much pocket watch love.

This week I have a small and specialised little entry.

I had recently fallen in love with a new little silly show and it has been snatched from us too early. So to commemorate, today’s Waistcoat Wonder is James Murray as Billy Collins in Chaos.

And while I may not have been a particular fan myself, many of my friends were and I can see why. So, for you,  here is an extra Waistcoat Wonder. She genuinely was far too short-lived.

So this week, share with me whatever you feel like. Maybe it is a Waistcoat Wonder you feel was too short lived; more Lis Sladen perhaps? Or just anything you fancy. Go wild.

Oh. Yum. So much pretty!

And waaaaaah! I'm going to miss Chaos. The buggers better had show it over the summer.

And it's really crap news about Elisabeth Sladen. She was always my favourite sidekick. And I loved the Sarah Jane Adventures.

I am so sad about Chaos, but hopefuly for the summer.

I wasn't a huge Sarah Jane fan, but 63 is too young for anyone.

Seeing those pictures of the chaos team actually makes me want to watch the thing (not fond of sitcoms) but they do look terribly smart!!

Though I can probably rely on the denialists to educate me next time we meet. I've forgotten how many times they've shown me Phoenix Blue (and I still don't understand the plot).

Apparently it's what the Americans call a dramady, rather than a sitcom. The four leading men are great fun and spark well off each other. JM is suitably scrummy, but I'm rather fond of the guy on the right in the bottom pic, who looks like an accountant, does deadpan, but is a human weapon.

Plot? Phoenix Blue? You jest, as a former colleague of mine says in a broad Black Country accent. With all that pretty, who cares! Mind you, you did find a plot in It's Alive. More or less!

I think I found a moral, rather than a plot in It's Alive (although I know what the plot is - "There's a demon baby. It eats people. It gets defeated in a touching and rather heavy handedly metaphorical fashion. The Cute Kid in the wheelchair lives happily ever after".

I never seem to be able to concentrate on Phoenix Blue long enough to extract the plot. I mean there's Stephen, right, who has been convinced by Evil-Older-Woman-TM that he's some kind of murderer thanks to some conveniently selective memory loss. And he's being kept prisoner/hiding out on a luxury yacht while singing songs on the Internet. And then there's this journalist who isn't a creepy stalker at all because the public totally needs to know the identity of the man who sings songs on the internet and she tracks him down to the Yacht where she gets to admire his chest and someone takes away her camera... and then... I don't know, I've no idea what happens next. They break into somewhere and stage a concert and live happily ever after? Not necessarily in that order.

Heh! Wasn't the moral along the lines of god having a sick sense of humour? *g*

I really don't think you're supposed to watch Phoenix Blue for the magnificence of the plot ...!

Then what do you watch it for *innocent eyes*

I'm starting to think I should see this film...

Oh hell, yes! The plot really isn't that awful but it's secondary to JM half-naked and wet for most of the film *g*.

A group of friends and I broke a small villiage in Somerset last summer. I have a very good friend who lives there and usually we visit one or two at a time, but we came down mob handed for her hen do.

Apparently that night it still spoken of in the local pub... I haven't shown my face in there since. I make her go elsewhere when I go and visit now.

I am stupid excited about my visit!

It's Alive is a deeply weird horror film which JM co-starred in. We watched it at a Denial get-together. [ profile] lsellersfic, who missed her vocation in life, deconstructed it beautifully!

It was a remake of a film that actually sounds moderately interesting, in that it's moral was about not pre-judging on appearance and the effect of nuture on behaviour rather than, you know, abortion is wrong.

Every time I go to a Denial meet up I am forced to watch stuff on the rather flimsy pretext that it has James Murray in it (or sometimes Andrew Lee Potts).

And boy! Have our lovely men been in some truly terrible movies over the years! I'd like to say that your life needs enriching, but I'm not sure most of this stuff even makes it into "so bad it's good" territory. Though if you are easily distracted by James Murray's chest there would appear to be redeeming features to all these movies.

I'm hoping I can someone negotiate Chaos (which sounds surprisingly tolerable) as a replacement for Phoenix Blue or maybe the horrible slasher movie with ALP in a coma.

Damn, they sound like fun times!

I have watched some dross in my time for the actors that were in it. Mainly during the 80s and early 90s.

LOL! I think ALP's are scraping the bottom of the barrel, particularly the one with the cable car six inches off the ground, the wandering accents, cheesy dialogue and the polystyrene snow! Although I did quite like the New Year's Day (Eve?) one.

You shall watch Chaos as a reward for good behaviour *g*.

Thank you very much for the dose of waistcoated James Murray!

And it looks a bit more hopeful for Chaos now.

Thanks too for the lovely Sarah Jane picture.

I have hopes for the cummer and Chaos; I shall keep everything crossed.

Glad you liked the Srah Jane pic too.

Oh, you made my Wednesday! I thought we'd be deprived of pretty James Murray for the rest of our lives, but now we hear CHAOS is just on "hiatus" and you post some very pretty waistcoat pictures. Yay!
