So…days 13 and 14 then.
Day 13 rocked with the awesome. We went to the meet up in Glasgow and there were tons of us! I will try and list everyone here, but apologies if I miss anyone, as my brain is stilll only half functioning. (Comment, let me know and I'll add) shamazipan ,
moonlitcactus ,
absdax ,
steerpikesister ,
blu04 ,
tiggerbrasilf ,
rickman_101 ,
rout_obsessie ,
stargazer60 ,
bandgeek01 , Liz and three very lovely people whose names I don't remember because I'm awful.
The meet up went the way of most meet ups and there was a lot of eating, some drinking and a hell of a lot of giggling. There was also a lot of inappropriate talking. This is mainly what led to the giggling.
Then of course we went to see the Barrowman in panto. (where we also met up with a few more people – it was like a Hub reunion – including broksgurl717 and I finally got to meet
in_these_stones !! She wore her hat, which made me extra happy!).
Aladdin was very, very funny. Again most of the laughter was at things that were entirely inappropriate, but hell, that is what made it funny. I hadn’t been looking forward to seeing the Krankies, but they were bloody funny too. All in all it was a cracking day, though seeing panto has made me miss being on stage awfully and I cannot wait to get back into panto myself.
We went to the stage door afterwards and the Barrowman did appear, but mainly to say hi, thanks for coming and I’m not signing anything. Then he jumped in a car and headed for the airport to go start filming Torchwood. Again, with the hell yeah baby!
So day 14. moonlitcactus ,
tiggerbrasilf ,
rout_obsessie , and I met in Glasgow Wetherspoons for the traditional post meet-up brunch. Discussions were had and worlds were put to right. We were all oddly suffering from hangovers even though none of us had really been drinking. We put it down to the insane amount of laughing that had been done the day before flooding our systems with endorphins and so we were basically all on a mad come-down.
After brunch I started the journey home. The first part of the journey was just as far as Birmingham to stay with jules again. It did take a bloody ling time though and the whether was awful. I really have used about every driving technique I’ve ever been taught on this trip. And if I thought aquaplaning on a main road wasn’t a lot of fun I can confirm that it is even less fun on the motorway…
But I made it here alive, albeit slightly twitchy from far too much coffee. Ooopsie.
Anyhoo, here are two vids. The one from Sunday is awful as I was freezing cold, very tired and the wind is so strong you can barely hear what I’m saying. To be fair, you’re not missing much. Today’s vid is ramblings on driving, night drives and being laughed at in the car.

Mad game that we played the night of day 12. Took and hour to set up and a lot less time to play...
