Hey mate.
Retcon sounds interesting. It would be useful sometimes, but we have enough fights here about whether we should go public with everything that happens anyway. If we started playing with people’s minds it would start a small revolution. But if you have any to spare, I’d love some. I lose count of the number of times I’d like to forget something I’ve said the moment I’ve said it!
Although I had forgotten I’d told you that story about my mates and the sarcophagus to get out of going on that museum visit. The truth is far worse. And I’m still not telling you that.
Oh this will make you laugh; I got arrested last week. Hours I was in a cell, hours! It was brilliant though ‘cos Jenny got me out by calling the Home Secretary in the middle of the night and getting him to call the idiot that arrested me to let me go free. Even I admit that it may have been over kill but it was so cool. You should have seen the look on his face.
I felt a bit sorry for him afterwards though because it turns out that when they were kids he lost his brother, probably to some creatures that came out of an anomaly.
But the best part was that Nick made his first correct prediction from the work we’ve been doing charting the history of the anomalies. It was brilliant. We’re really getting somewhere with the project now; it’s so exciting. And I’m learning so much from Nick. I really hope you can meet him sometime; he’s been so good to me since we started working together.
Everything all right between you and Jack though? You know I don’t mind if you talk about it. It doesn’t weird me out or anything. I wish I had something to tell you about Abby. She’s blond and gorgeous. And she’s so funny and strong as well. She can do anything. She was a zoologist before she joined the ARC and she loves all the creatures that come through. She won’t let anyone hurt them. Sometimes she says and does stuff that makes me think that maybe she likes me as well, but then it all goes away again. She really confuses me. But you’ll probably say ‘what’s new?’ because it’s not like I’ve ever understood women. There was this one girl last year who I thought really liked me and she was only going out with me because someone was paying her. Someone who then tried to kill us. Sad thing is, I’ve had worse dates.
I’d still really like to meet this Tosh…
