“Hart?” Ryan touched a hand to his earpiece in confusion.
“You don’t need to be so formal, we’re not at work now.”
“I am,” Ryan hissed back.
“But I’m not. In fact I’m lounging, naked on your bed.” Stephen’s voice was light and teasing.
“Stephen!” Ryan’s voice was low but full of authority.
“Relax. I’m beginning to discover that being friends with the resident technogenius has more advantages than you would think. We’re on a private frequency. I’m calling from my mobile and no one else can hear us. But if anyone needs you it will break through.”
“Connor? Technogenius? When did you stop calling him ‘geek’?”
