AN: Written for primeval100 challenge "James Lester".
AN2:  As a follow up to yesterday’s I Am here are some more James centric drabbles from the POV of some of the team. It's entirely possibly I love Lester too much.

Abby

He is not someone I expected to be so glad to see, but he’s a symbol of returning, of normality, of a previous life.

He is a constant in a world that has changed; among so many new faces, new rules, new buildings, he is one of the few pillars of the past I can cling to.

But he is changed too.

He is an unexpected ally, secret keeper, a freedom fighter; slyly pushing buttons to keep our status quo.

But then I think about those times before, and I realise there is no change.

He’s always been our protector.

 

Becker

He is easily irritated; not a man you want to cross or argue with.

He is a formidable opponent, or the strongest ally. He is best to keep on your side.

He sees too much, is impossible to deceive and irritatingly hard to hide from. But he plays his own cards close to his chest until he is certain he holds a winning hand.

He’s like a bloody dog with a bone.

He is full of faith, when I have none.

He fights for what he believes. He fought for me.

He dragged me back.

I hope he is right.

 

Conner (NB – this one is set in my happy personal head cannon where Lester and Connor are love bunnies)

He is two people.

At work he is the boss; the Sir in the suit.

He is sharp minded, shaper tongued and can whither at twenty paces with that steely glare.

His is controlled, guarded and ever vigilant. And he is always so distant.

He is Lester.

 

At home he is mine.

He is comforting arms and words after a difficult day.

He is quick witted and nimble fingered. His face relaxes, changes totally as he comes undone under the touch of my lips and hands. And he smiles as he undoes me.

He is James.

He is my world.
