He wouldn’t regret this. He absolutely would not regret this.

He didn’t do things he regretted; he was far too sensible. He was Sir James Lester for heaven’s sake.

The boy had needed somewhere to stay and even Lester’s heart went out to him right now. So he had offered him his flat.

Short term. Emphasis.

He would not regret this.

Lester walked into his living room.

“What the hell is all this?!”

Connor looked up at him, all surprised brown eyes. “Um. Just a few of my favourite things?”

Lester backed slowly away.

He was going to regret this.
