It had started so well. Met as young professionals, both keen and eager to succeed; both ambitious, sharing desires to be the best.

They fell in love, a golden couple. They married, the perfect day. Bought a beautiful house, the envy of family and friends. Children soon completed their lives.

Then things fell apart. Their dreams drifted. Work took its toll on their fledgling family. She pulled and picked at the frayed strings of their marriage and he did nothing to repair them.

He couldn’t blame a bad romance, he couldn’t blame her.

His shoulders became heavy from the weight.
