“And that’s the alternate universe theory…….but you weren’t serious when you asked me to explain it to you were you?”

Connor turned and looked up at the bored expression on Lester’s face. He knew him too well though and he saw the amusement lying underneath.

Turning back around, he settled into Lester’s arms again, leaning into his chest as they relaxed on the sofa.

“The theory would mean that somewhere there is a universe where a random decision means we didn’t get together.”

Lester’s nose brushed against the back of his hair.

“That would be a very silly universe indeed.”
