AN: This one I chose and wrote for myself. Prompt: Anticipation.

Sometimes he likes to drag it out.

Make himself wait.

Delay the satisfaction.

Draw out the sensations.

Build the anticipation.

He lets his senses be assaulted. Let’s himself be surrounded by the heat, obvious in this small space. Aromas curl themselves around him and he breathes so deeply he could make himself giddy. He wishes the scents were tangible so he could play them through his fingers.

And then, finally, that first taste. Exotic bitter and sweet and hot and dark explode on his tongue. The first coffee of the day is always the best and deserves the build up.
