Gwen was with Rhys; Jack was attending to business so finally Ianto had the time to do what he had so badly needed to do for weeks.

Some would consider it a mistake; foolish. Some would consider it a step back when it looked like he had come so far.

But as he locked his door and removed the battery from his phone he knew it was what he needed to do.

He toyed with the bottle of bourbon in his hands. His father had received one just like it, and there had been one for Lisa. He’d bought numerous ones for his friends at Torchwood One. There had been a couple for himself.

But this bottle was for Tosh and Owen.

This was his night. This was his time. Tonight he would lose himself with a different Jack and for a few precious hours he would feel no pain.
