First TV show I had self-insertion fantasies about:
The first TV show would have been Quantum Leap. I wanted to be Al’s new Beth. Yes, Al. Al was the sexiest of the two. Shut up.
And it wasn’t based on the TV show as I hadn’t seen it then, but from age 7 I was writing myself into Hardy Boy’s adventures.
First fandom in which I interacted (through postal mail and in person) with other fans:
Torchwood. I am so damn new to this!
Pairing in the first slash fanfiction I read:
Well, the first was Jack/Ianto, but it’s canon so I’m not really sure it counts. The first non-canon slash pairing I read or wrote was Ianto/Owen. It’s a pairing I still really like. I think they are good for each other and have more in common than they would like.
First RPS/RPF I read:
I really get weirded out by RPF and really try to avoid it, but I did read the James Moran/Danny Quinn fic that has gone down in![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
primeval_denial lore. And it’s bloody marvellous fun!
First fanfiction I read that made me think, 'YES, this is exactly the kind of fanfiction I'd like to write...':
I can't remember exactly, but the one of the first authors who I remember reading and thinking ‘bloody hell, there’s some shit-hot, brilliant, well written fanfic out here’ wasthrace_adams.
First time I remember getting really turned on by a fic!
I don’t remember that, but there’s some excellent filth in a number of fandoms I read. (And having recently discovered the Spanderfiles, there’s a whole lot more out there to get through!)

First OTP:
Oh my god. I thought I would never do this, then Connor and Lester came along in their perfect, we’re-made-for-each-other-despite-being-completely-different way and made me fall for them. How many more meaningful glances do you need to accept that IT’S CANON I TELL YOU!

I only believe in bromance.
First fannish friend I met in person:
The first person I ever met wasabsdax, who I didn’t know until we randomly started gabbling at Collectormania. I now count her as a good friend.
First character I formally roleplayed:
I RP’d Primeval’s James Lester for a while on Twitter, which was fabulous fun, but RL kept getting in the way of updating. Plus I think I enjoyed playing a sarcastic bastard a bit too much.
