It was something none of them expected.

He was the gangly geek. Had that pale pallor of one who sees to many computer screens and not enough sunbeams. Limbs uncurled themselves at odd angles. Frankly he looked like he could barely dress himself most days.

So when Ryan and his team watch Connor swoop down the mountain towards them with perfect parallel skis, and dig in for a pin-point halt in front of them they are somewhat surprised. So much so that by the time they register he’s covered them in snow, he’s off, smoothly away down the next piste.
