Lester stares along the barrel of the gun and lets years of training flow through his limbs.

His whole body responds; muscle memory moving him into the perfect stance. His grip is relaxed but firm and his outstretched arms are true and steady.

His mind is clear and focused. He feels not a shred of doubt that what he is doing is right.

He takes a split second to confirm his aim, slowly exhales and squeezes the trigger.

As he watches the unarmed Burton crumple to the floor, blood blossoming from the wound in his chest, he has no regrets.

Yes! That is my Lester! My head canon Lester has seen a lot of action, partly based on those moments. There isn't even a flicker.
