Becker sidled into Lester’s office and closed the door behind him. He headed straight for Lester’s desk and squeezed himself between it and Lester’s chair, nudging the other man back and away from his work. He perched on the edge of the desk and leant back on his hands.

“What are you doing?” Lester didn’t bother to disguise his annoyance.

“You owe me.”

“Not right now, Becker.”

“The promise was made under duress, you cannot reasonably expect me to keep me to it.”
