AN - I got six titles from the generator so decided to do a drabble for all of them, each from the POV of a different character. It's amazing what you can do on a bus journey...

He gets phonecalls in the middle of the night; sometimes gets dragged from work. He gets requests for information, requests for help, requests for silence.

He gets teased, he gets laughed at, he gets fun poked at him. But sometimes he gets defended, stood up for, protected.

He gets brushed off, included, left behind, relied upon, abandoned.

He gets beaten up, bruised, bloodied, emotionally battered. He gets picked up, thanked, anonymously recommended for bravery.

He gets explanations, stories, placated.

He gets all of this and more from Torchwood. But what he really wants, and never gets, is the absent truth.

Thank you so much. I'm glad it made you stop and think about Andy, cos I think he's great and takes so much crap from them all, but in the end is such a hero! I've only ever written one other PC Andy fic, and it's sort of similar, but if you want to read it it's under PC Andy in my tags.
