They’ve lost everything.
Torchwood, where they worked, where their relationship grew, where they found love, is rubble.
They have been forced out of their home, forced from everything they know.
And it’s just the two of them left now.
He knows he has to be strong for both of them. He’s got to take control, ignore the pain in his heart, ignore everything screaming at him to stop, give up, fly from this place.
No, he needs to do whatever it takes to get them somewhere to hide from the world together.
He tries again.
