It hurts. Oh god it hurts. It hurts in her head; the fight hurts in her head, but the cravings are worse. They eat and gnaw at her stomach and oh god it hurts. It’s a hunger like none she’s ever felt. Like that way once a month your body cries out for chocolate; but worse, so much worse, worse than anything she has felt before. It needs to feed, the thing inside her needs to feed; to sate the cravings and oh god it hurts.

And the thing that’s in her head that isn’t her. It’s doing things with her body that she doesn’t want to do, saying things she doesn’t want to say. And she can’t stop it. She’s trying to fight, trying to fight so hard, but this thing’s just too strong. It like a heat in her head, wrapping itself around her mind, not letting her out. Pushing her out, squashing her down. It wants to hurt; it wants to take. Take to stop the hunger. She wants to stop it. Stop it hurting people, stop the pain, stop the hunger. But she can’t get out. Can’t get outside her own head because it hurts oh god it hurts.

She tries, once more, once more to push past the heat and the pain. One last cry.

“Help me.”
