I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes office supplies." I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. (Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal. In return, ask me anything you'd like to know about me and I'll give you an answer.)

Yeah, but you can think of something!

I have 7 longboxes full of comics at home. My most valuable books are a Buffy Season 8 #1 1/25 variant, first run signed by the artist, and a first edition Johnny the Homicidal Maniac #1.

What food do you run to when you feel like misbehaving?

From: [identity profile] jooles34.livejournal.com
I have never let myself get too into comics; it would be far too dangerous. Used to read X-Men and Wolverine and stopped at that.

Problem is I'm never well behaved enough to start with! I guess though I'd say take away; pizza or Chinese. It's naughty cos I can't really afford take away and it terrible for me, but damn, it is soooo gooooooood.

From the time when I was 12 (and legitimately ill for several days, which started when a friend was sleeping over) until college, I would throw up whenever I had or went to a slumber party. Just as I was falling asleep, I'd have to run to the bathroom. (Aren't you glad you asked;))

What is the one childhood wish you still hope to someday fulfill?

Oh dear, that sounds awful; and no fun at all.

And wow, that's a good question. Um... I guess I'd have to say that I would still love to have a professional acting role once in my life.

Thing is, I knew it was all psychological but I couldn't do a damn thing to stop it. Going to college was the cure since it was one big 4-year sleepover and I guess my brain finally came to its senses!

That would be cool:) You'll have to let us know if it ever happens!

Weird question: How old were you when you went to your first funeral.

Date: 2010-12-09 09:48 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] jooles34.livejournal.com
Um, it sort of surprises me because it is unusual, but then again coming from you it almost doesn't because...well I can't really put into words why, but of all people it would make sense from you.

My first family death was when I was 9, but I wasn't allowed to go to the funeral because of my age and it was in Scotland. The first one that I can think of, and certainly the most memorable, was my Grandpop's when I was 15.

Question for you: Do you like your height or would you like to be taller/shorter?

Date: 2010-12-09 09:51 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] jooles34.livejournal.com
What are peeps? Am intregued.

That is a good question! I want to be taller. I'm 5' 5.5" and I would love to even be 5' 6"! Just a little bit taller!

Oh man, they are sticky marshmallowy sugar coated lumps of disgusting sweetness. They used to be just for Easter with yellow chicks but now they have them for every imaginable holiday. I adore everything about them from the sort of rough coating to the stretchy properties of the insides, to the slightly sickening aroma of the sugar.

Yeah, I am one sick puppy, LOL!

When I was growing up, my family lived out in the country next to a graveyard. Spoooooky! Ok, not actually very spooky. The woods were spookier at night, if only because of all the trees and shadows.

What was your favorite book when you were a kid?

Date: 2010-12-09 09:55 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] jooles34.livejournal.com
Little Women without a doubt. It is still one of my favourite books. I adore it.

Growing up in the country with stuff like that so close always seems strange to me. Would like to have experienced it for a bit though.

From: [identity profile] alt_universe_me.livejournal.com
I still love Little Women too! I don't think I'll ever outgrow it :)

I've lived many different places, but my childhood was mostly set in the country. I'm close to a bigger city now, but I'm also across the street from the parks, which has some woods and a creek. Do you live in a big city?

Date: 2010-12-09 10:34 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] jooles34.livejournal.com
I'm actually quite lucky. I live just outside London. I live in a small town, next to a big town, next to a huge city! But I also have country side and coast within a couple of hours drive and we have a lot of parks near here to. Best of both worlds really. Don't think I'd like being too far frm a city though. Must have made for an interesting childhood though.

Ahhh, I would trade places with you in an instant. I would love to live in or near London. I guess my childhood was pretty interesting. We were always playing outside, and I'm not at all afraid of graveyards :)

I love being outside, camping etc so wish I had had more access to that as a kid rather than just a few weeks each year. But at the same time, loved having everything around me that I did. And...ah...never spent too much time in graveyards...

I grew up playing hide and seek in a graveyard at church youth group and after church on Sundays.

What's your favourite flower, if you have one?

From: [identity profile] jooles34.livejournal.com
We used to get shouted at for playing in the graveyard!

My favourite flower is the daisy. I love them. I love the colours and the shape, but mainly I love that daisies always look so happy. You can't be unhappy around a daisy. I have five purple African daisies tattooed along my foot. Awesome question.

I have 2 beautiful sons that I was told I could never have. Cancer. They are my heart and joy.

What small special thing would you like for Christmas? Not the big splashy thing but the little one that would make you smile.

Oh, wow, tough question. I guess maybe my Grandma's opal ring. I know she wants me to have it so whenever she decides to give it to me I will love it.

I have a half-brother and half-sitter who are also my half-cousins.(My uncle married my Dad's first wife, or rather, my uncle was also responsible for Dad and his first wife's divorce.) I have talked to my half-brother twice on the phone and saw him once in person. Have yet to meet my half-sister.

What is the one thing from your past you will always carry with you - in moving boxes or rucksack - that will be with you until it is pried from your cold, dead hands?

Date: 2010-12-12 09:28 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] jooles34.livejournal.com
I don't know if yuo would really consider it the past, but for my 30th birthday close friends and family all gave me money for my birthday - at my request admittedly - and I took the money I was given and bought a diamond necklace. It's the most preciouse peice of jewellry I own; the most expensive by far; and it means so much because it was from so many people, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, friends, they are all caught up in that one thing.

And wow. My family is so small and...um...uninteresting. Not always a bad thing.

Let's see... If you could have any real animal domesticated and as a pet, (it could be extinct, but can't be fictional) what would it be?

Oh that is a mad question; so cool. Um...I think maybe something like a hyrax. They're kinda cute and look a bit like giant hamsters.

Jumpers and blankets mostly, since they're easy. All sorts of things though.

I had to google hyrax - they look pretty damn cute, especially the fat and lazy looking ones!
