For once they had time. Time to lie together, stroking, touching, feeling. This wasn’t a hurried morning shag trying to beat the alarm; no tired fumbling at the end of the day; no frantic fuck in a stolen moment when their lives had once again been challenged.

Hands and mouths explored each other’s bodies. Skin was sweat-slicked, flushed, marked with light scratches and mouth-shaped rosettes of colour. 

Stephen moved inside Abby, her body hot and wet around him. She raised her hips to meet each of his slow, shallow thrusts. Their mouths moved together, their breath mingling, swallowing each other’s gasps and moans. Abby's hips bucked up to meet him again and he squeezed with his hand, firmer than before. Abby's eyes opened to meet his and he knew it was time.

He kept the pressure on, watching Abby's body respond to the increased lack of air. He drove himself into her body, harder and faster now, going deeper with each stroke.

He angled himself so his pubic bone would hit her clit as he pushed home and he watched her gasp, watched her face change, knowing that her mind would be floating in a haze, the lack of air heightening and intensifying the feelings of his cock pushing into her body. He knew the endorphins would be rushing faster around her body, carrying spikes of pleasure to her fogged brain.

She writhed and trembled under him. Her hips rose to meet his thrusts, her back arched, pushing her breasts invitingly close and then with a gasp she came, eyes wide. With the little breath she had left she gasped his name and that’s all it took.

He rode her orgasm, thrusting hard into her, spilling inside her as she stilled, body lax. He took his hand from her throat as the last vestiges of pleasure trembled through him. Stephen caught Abby’s lips in a sloppy, exhausted kiss, while she gasped, filling her lungs with oxygen.

They breathed together, breath mingling, lips just touching. They basked in the heat, and the feel of skin on skin, and the glow of love realised.

For once they’d had time.
