Lester stood and surveyed the rather shoddily assembled group of men in front of him. He pursed his lips and folded his arms as the three men continued to shift slightly uneasily under his gaze. He was particularly proud that he was managing to make the soldier squirm by glare alone.
They deserved to squirm. After today’s absolute fiasco, Lester was determined to choose his words of derision even more carefully than usual.
He knew Lorraine affectionately referred to the gathered Hart, Temple and Ryan as Tall, Dark and Handsome, but Reckless, Trouble-Magnet and Doesn’t-Understand-What-the-Hell-Discreet-Means was more bloody like it.
