Weeks have passed since the anomaly left them here, more millions of years out of their time than really makes sense in Connor’s head.
It seems to be summer and the days are hot and humid. But when the night comes it bring cooler air and their skin prickles with cold. He extends his arm and offers the shelter of his body.
She hesitates until another shiver runs through her. She leans in close and something that has been building all this time snaps in both of them. Lips meet lips and neither of them feel the cold any more.
